Owakudani Kurotamagokan Limited to Hakone and Owakudani in Hakone, Japan! Sanrio Character G...
Owakudani's specialty, "Kuro-tamago (black egg)," is said to prolong one's life for seven years.
Kuro-tamago is made by boiling a raw egg in a hot spring pond, using a chemical reaction between geothermal heat and volcanic gases. When the egg is boiled in the hot spring pond, the pore-rich shell is coated with the ingredients of the hot spring pond, turning it black and producing a boiled egg with a black shell.
Kuro-tamago are sold in packages of four for 500 yen (tax included).

The following is a half-day model course for enjoying Owakudani, including the Owakudani Nature Study Path, which you should join if you visit Owakudani, taking commemorative photos with Mt. Fuji and the black egg objet d'art in the background, and purchasing black eggs and original products.

This is a park with an extension of approximately 700 meters that takes you close to the volcanic fumes area. Along the park path, where the smell of volcanic gases fills the air, visitors can observe the nature unique to the volcanic area and learn more about the origin of the volcano from the explanatory boards placed at various locations.

Approximately 3,000 years ago, a phreatic explosion caused a landslide at Hakone Volcano, and sediments covered the ground surface. About 2,900 years ago, a small pyroclastic flow occurred, creating Mt.
