About Izumisano City.

In the mountains and rivers it's located in the middle mostly and where they embrace the Izumi cordillera where the part was designated in a Kongou Ikoma period spring quasi national park in the back and are good-looking and the blessed natural environment full of green which are Wakayama city with Osaka city , available.. The population is about 98,600 about 56.51 square kilometers, and households is about 48,200 households (current as of end of 2022 November) for the area.Since this city belongs to the Setouchi type weather, the weather is warm and the amount of rainfall is rather low.
Because I put on a crown, and Izumi Nawa of an ancient nation is called "small wilds" by folklore, I come to be "Sano" in the village name since the Middle Ages "Sano", and that turns, and it's said that the history of the name came to be called "Sano".
Izumisano city was born in April 1st, 1948 due to beginning of city administration of Sano-cho and the current municipal area was formed after the merging of five villages, including Minami-Nakadori, Hineno, Nagataki, Kaminogo and Otsuchi in 1954.
Making the most of impact of opening the Kansai International Airport in September, 1994, this city have been working on the city development aiming to became one of the international cities appropriate for the 21st century as the gateway connecting Japan to global cities.
